Benefits of Meditation
When you are meditating the whole world becomes peaceful. You no longer need to stress about the days plans and events. You can calm yourself in relaxation. So let’s practice mindfulness! Mediation can be the most beneficial activity you do each day.
1. Have time for yourself
Take the time for self care. A wise person once told me, “If I didn’t care of myself how can you take care of anyone else?”
It’s so true! If you have a cold or an aching body you aren’t going to be able to take care of anyone else. All you want to do is lie in bed. There is nothing wrong with rest but you also want to be able to be feel good. So you can care for those who may need you.
Do your favorite things!
Create Space for yourself. Set up a meditation corner. Light candles, have soft pillows and blankets. Do anything that relaxes you!
Take a bath. Go for a walk or go to movie with friends.
Whatever you do make sure you have a moment everyday that is just for you.
2. Release old energies that are no longer serving you
We all have negative experiences. Learn to let them go.
Stretch.
Tense muscles is a big indicator you are holding onto old energy. Therefore, many people do yoga as a form of mediating.
3. Find your spiritual path
The purpose of life? Big question. But I have heard the purpose is to experience joy and expand through contrast.
Path and Purpose.
Connection through silencing your mind will help you find answers for yourself. This is the beauty of spiritual connection. Everyones purpose is different. Moreover, your answer will be different than mine.
That’s the beauty of life! Everyone is different!
4. Connect to your inner being
A special part of mediation is being able to be one with yourself. It is all about you! You don’t need to worry about what anyone else thinks.
You and your inner being have a great purpose for you! Mediation allows us to connect to our spirit and be one with our guidance.
5. More knowledge with less effort
Through mediation you are able to plan out your entire day in five minutes or less!
When I mediate – hands down- I am always more productive with less effort. Why is that? When you mediate you are able to connect with your higher self. In mediation lies the answers. I usually get my ‘To Do” list for the day when I mediate. Then, I knock the list with ease and flow.
In conclusion, you can have a life of happiness and great purpose. Find a comfortable place to quiet your mind each day and be open to your own truth.
